The Strumica region has a considerable number of amenities for the development of tourism.
The favorable climate, with relatively high temperatures and a lot of sunny days; the specific
conditions for the development of spa, health, and recreation tourism on the surrounding
mountains; the abundance of cultural and historical monuments, as well as the alluring
traditional and cultural events offer many possibilites.
With the development of tourism rises the need of sufficient accomodation. One of the oldest
hotels in Strumica is Hotel Esperanto, situated in the center of the city. Though with
tradition behind it and with an excelent location, this hotel has been run down and is rarely
a first choice.
Another famous hotel for the Strumica region is the Hotel Car Samuil, situated in the village of Bansko, known for its mineral water. Hotel Car Samuil is of "B" category with a capacity of 165 beds. It is fully equipped for balneo-therapy and medical rehabilitation,
including an indoor semi-olympic pool, a well-furnished fitness center, and other facilities
for sport, recreation, and pleasure.
Among the newer hotels and motels in the Strumica region are the Transped Makedonija Motel Terminal, the Hotel Sirius, and the Motel Makedonska Kuka. The motel Terminal is a modern facility of approximately 400 square
meters, with 3 apartments and a restaurant that can hold up to 220 guests. The Hotel Sirius
is a four star hotel with 40 double rooms and 4 appartments, a restaurant with 250 seats,
an outdoor swimming pool and outdoor tennis courts.
